Tout Hires Jason Shulman

SAN FRANCISCO, October 18, 2016

Video Streaming Network Tout announced today that Jason Shulman has joined the Tout team to lead the company’s global demand generation efforts. Shulman’s long history in generating significant revenue, both for ad agencies and programmatic solution providers, will help Tout’s fast growing publisher base grow their digital revenue exponentially.

Shulman began his career on the agency side, one of four executives for Freestyle Interactive, one of the world’s first digital ad agencies, and acquired by Dentsu/Aegis in 2003. After helping launch Isobar, Aegis’ global digital agency holding company, Shulman was the CRO on the executive team that turned Poindexter Systems into [x+1], one of the first demand-side platforms to hit the market, and was later acquired by Rocketfuel.

After four years at [x+1], Shulman was the first salesperson at, a well-known leader in the video programmatic space, acquired by AOL in 2013. After thoroughly sinking his teeth into programmatic, Shulman packaged and sold live event sponsorships with digital activations as vice president of digital at Billboard.

Most recently, Shulman was senior vice president of sales at Vdopia, and was instrumental in helping the company pivot from a largely blind India-based mobile ad network to a 100% transparent mobile video supply-side platform, opening offices around the globe in New York, Chicago, SF, LA, Sydney, Singapore, Delhi and London.
