Melissa Strickland Joins HLW International

Architecture and Interiors firm HLW International welcomes Senior Project Designer Melissa Strickland, NCIDQ, to their Madison, New Jersey office. Strickland has fourteen years’ experience as a designer, bringing to the firm a solid portfolio of experience within Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical industries in the New Jersey area. Strickland will lead the programming, planning and design processes with a special focus on large, complex projects.

Strickland’s dedication to client satisfaction and discovery align well with HLW‘s mission. “I was immediately drawn in by HLW’s vision ‘Our Work Tells Your Story’. It’s a unique and fresh perspective on design that emphasizes a client-centric focus,” says Strickland. Working closely with HLW’s Strategy and Discovery group also appealed to the Senior Project Designer. “It’s a different approach than what you see at most companies,” Strickland explains, “Here, the strategy group is integrated into every project. As a designer, it is great to have this incorporated so early on.”

It’s not just about beautiful design, it is all about understanding function and then translating that into a beautiful aesthetic. It is always about the client, that’s why we do what we do.”
