JUST EAT announces industry-first free delivery
TORONTO, September 19, 2016
So long to pesky delivery charges! In an industry-first, JUST EAT Canada, the nation’s largest restaurant delivery app, is rolling out free delivery on thousands of restaurants nation-wide.
“As Canada’s market leader in the food delivery space, JUST EAT is constantly striving to offer consumers more selection, convenience and value,” says Aaron Davis, Marketing Director, JUST EAT Canada. “Free delivery is a Canadian industry first and around 70% of our restaurants are participating. Free delivery makes it easier and more affordable than ever to tap the JUST EAT app and have your favourite dishes delivered to your door this Fall,” says Davis.
To herald the free delivery news, JUST EAT branded a fleet of jaunty EcoCabs, which are cycling around town in Toronto and Ottawa, offering free lifts, coupons and other treats to JUST EAT fans.
In fact, JUST EAT and food blogger Lauren Toyota recently treated 50 Toronto fans to a surprise free lunch in the park – serving up vegan fare from Grasshopper restaurant; and pulled pork pierogies from the kitchen of Toronto’s Loaded Pierogi restaurant.
“JUST EAT is committed to ensuring customers have the best delivery experience and this is an extension of that,” explains Davis. “Partnering with Lauren to spread the word about JUST EAT’s new free delivery offer was a fun way to give back to foodies and spotlight two popular, Toronto neighbourhood restaurants on JUST EAT” explains Davis.
