Investcorp strengthens shareholder base with agreed investment from Mubadala Development Company
NEW YORK, July 28, 2016
Investcorp, a global provider and manager of alternative investment products, and Mubadala Development Company, the Abu Dhabi based investment and development company, have agreed for Mubadala to acquire a 20% interest in the company.
The two-step transaction sees Mubadala acquire a 9.99% ownership stake immediately, with a further 10.01% following necessary regulatory approvals.
Mubadala’s investment strengthens Investcorp’s shareholder base, which includes major institutional investors from the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar, in addition to prominent individuals and family offices.
