Hughes Network Systems partners with MWWPR
NEW YORK, November 29, 2017
MWWPR today announced that is has been selected by Hughes Network Systems, LLC, the global leader in broadband satellite solutions and services, as its integrated, global communications partner and public relations agency of record. Hughes, pioneered satellite Internet service for the mass market and now operates the world’s largest high-speed satellite network.
The global account will be managed within MWWPR’s Technology and Business-to-Business practices and tap into the agency’s proprietary StoryCore master narrative development process. Program support will include social and digital media marketing, influencer relations, content creation, executive thought leadership, public affairs, advocacy, cause marketing and partner-alliance PR, all rooted in data-driven insights.
“The search for the right strategic partner to tell our story, raise our visibility, and ultimately help us achieve our business goals, was an arduous one,” said Hughes Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mike Cook. “When you look at the lines of business that the agency needed to be able to effectively support, as well as navigate unique landscapes, MWWPR proved it was the right partner to do it all, and do it well. With its Consumer, Corporate Reputation and Public Affairs capabilities at our disposal, paired with their expertise in the Technology sector, the MWWPR team became the obvious choice.”
The firm continues to experience significant growth in both the Technology and Business-to-Business sectors. With this account win, MWWPR further deepens its global and regional footprint and continues the purposeful integration of MWWPR’s practice areas.
“We are firm believers that integration is not just a mix of traditional and digital services but also the ability to blend practice areas to uniquely serve our clients,” said Michael Kempner, MWWPR‘s Founder and CEO. “It is our ability to do so that helps our clients matter more to the stakeholders that matter most to them. Client-partners like Hughes Network Systems entrusting us with their brand is a testament to the work we have done as an integrated agency team.”
Hughes consumer satellite Internet service, HughesNet®, has over 1 million subscribers in North America, Brazil and Colombia. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently rated HughesNet as #1 among all U.S. broadband providers, including both terrestrial and satellite, for delivering on advertised speeds.
Work to tell that story will begin immediately, according to MWWPR President, Bret Werner, and will be supported by professionals from MWWPR’s New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and London offices.
“Our immediate focus will be to construct a collective narrative that takes the Hughes brand beyond the pages of all-important trade publications, into the mainstream media, with a story of innovation,” said Werner. “Hughes should be acknowledged as the leaders that they are, but have too often been left out of the conversation. Together, we will revive the satellite conversation by modernizing the perception of the category.”
