Geralyn LaNeve Joins Finn Partners
NEW YORK, February 21, 2017
Finn Partners announced the addition of Geralyn LaNeve as group vice president in the agency’s global Health Practice. LaNeve will be based in New York, reporting to Michael Heinley, partner and deputy of Finn Partners New York Health Group.
“Geralyn brings her long-standing commitment to healthcare communications to Finn Partners,” said Kristie Kuhl, senior partner, Finn Partners Health Practice. “Our clients will benefit from her experience in managing advocacy relations programs and providing strategic leadership in public health on behalf of both for-profit and nonprofit groups.”
Prior to joining Finn Partners, LaNeve was senior vice president at Alembic Unlimited, a sister company of Cooney Waters Unlimited, where she supervised communications and advocacy initiatives in the infectious disease and vaccines, oncology and rare disease categories. In this role, she developed partnerships between clients and a range of stakeholders, including industry, government, policy makers, and professional and patient groups. Before joining Alembic, LaNeve was vice president at Ruder Finn healthcare where she managed U.S. and global communications programs for pharmaceutical clients in support of product launches, media relations, patient advocacy, issues management and major data announcements.
“Finn Partners embraces healthcare as an ecosystem of interconnected stakeholders, patient advocates, providers, payers, policymakers and product innovators, aligning their voices to deliver messages that will resonate and lead to greater patient benefits,” said LaNeve. “It’s a great opportunity to be part of an agency that has the collective talent, knowledge and strong commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.”
LaNeve’s background also includes communications roles at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and New York Organ Donor Network where her work focused on strengthening the brand visibility and reputation of these mission-driven organizations, while increasing awareness of critical health issues.
“Having worked at agencies and in-house at nonprofit groups as a healthcare communicator, Geralyn brings a unique perspective on how to make an impact on patient health. She understands our value of collaboration — drawing upon the interests of diverse health sectors to improve patient wellbeing — as core to yielding amazing work for clients,” said Michael Heinley, partner and deputy of Finn Partners New York Health Group.
LaNeve has received several awards for her work, recognizing effective, winning public relations campaigns. She received her B.A. in journalism/communications from Rowan University.
